UK FIRST FOR ROAD RAIL CRANES
ZWEIBRÜCKEN, October 21st, 2016 – Road Rail Cranes Ltd has taken delivery of the first Demag® AC 100-4L all terrain crane to be delivered in the UK. It brings to eleven the number of mobile cranes in the company’s exclusively Terex Cranes fleet which operates nationally out of Wrexham and Bristol.
In the 100 t capacity class, the 4-axle Demag has a maximum boom length of 59.4 m and a maximum system length of 81.7 m. At just 2.55 m wide, the Demag AC 100-4L is the most compact crane in its class.
Road Rail’s joint managing director, Ian Cross, comments: “The overall performance, flexibility and size of the AC 100-4L - plus its IC-1 Plus control system that enables asymmetric outrigger settings - made this an easy choice for us.”
“This really is a crane in a class of its own, and since 2013 when we first started buying Terex cranes, we have always enjoyed a high level of service and support from the manufacturer.”
Tim Leech, Terex Cranes Sales Manager, adds: “I am delighted that Road Rail Cranes have decided to expand their existing Terex Cranes fleet with one of the latest Demag models. I am confident that it will deliver high usability to the company’s many customers.”
