TEREX CRANES ANNOUNCES FIRST RECIPIENT OF

TEREX CONTINUING EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP

FOR SC&R FOUNDATION

Zweibruecken, Germany, May 11th, 2012 – Terex Cranes is proud to announce the first recipient of the Terex Continuing Education Scholarship. The $3,000 per year donation was awarded by the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association’s Foundation (SC&R Foundation) to Lee Rucker. Mr. Rucker is the son of SC&RA member James Rucker, Maintenance Supervisor at WireCo World Group, Kansas City, Mo. The award was announced at the SC&RA Annual Awards & Recognition Dinner that took place at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Hotel in Austin, Texas, on April 21st.

“The SC&RA is one of the cornerstones of our industry’s future,” says Frank Bardonaro, Vice President & Managing Director Global Sales, Terex Cranes, and 2010-2011 chair for SC&RA’s Crane & Rigging Group. “Its commitment to education is both essential and unique. We are particularly proud to support the SC&RA in bringing the qualified people that the future success of our highly specialized sector depends on.”

Following the donation of $21,000 in June last year, the Terex Continuing Education Scholarship is a new corporate-named education program that comes in extension to the SC&R Foundation’s existing scholarship program. Initiated in 1986, the Foundation has already offered nearly $300,000 in grants and scholarships to help to advance the education of SC&RA member company employees and their family members.

“Funding scholarships is vital to attracting and retaining qualified people in the industry,” says Jackie Roskos, Director of Marketing and SC&R Foundation Manager. “We are very thankful for the Terex Continuing Education Scholarship beginning in 2012. The support of Terex as the first corporate-named sponsor has been magnified because it encouraged further contributions from other industry companies."

Starting this year, the Terex Continuing Education Scholarship will be applied at a rate of $3,000 per year for seven years to bachelor/masters degree students studying in fields related to the specialized carriers and rigging industry.

Lee Rucker, this year’s scholarship recipient, plans to use the funds to attend Lindenwood University, Saint Charles, Mo., where he intends to begin a masters degree course in electrical engineering.
