THREE TEREX® AC 40 OPTIMAX DELIVERED TO MOROCCO

Zweibruecken, November 25th, 2011 – Terex Cranes distributor VEMAT S.A.R.L. has delivered three new Terex AC 40 Optimax all terrain cranes to three customers in Morocco. Vemat organized a customer event that was highlighted by demonstrations of the new Terex AC 40 Optimax, which provided the opportunity for guests from Morocco and other North African countries to view the crane first hand. Hicham Falaki, Purchasing Manager, OCBM, and Karim Ouattik, General Manager, Manuden were handed the keys to their new cranes during the event.

The AC 40 Optimax is a specially designed all terrain crane for customers in North Africa. This crane offers a combination of robust versatility, simplicity of operation and cost-effective performance and maintenance.

Since their delivery, the three new cranes have been put to work in a variety of applications. Manuden’s unit has been servicing crane rental applications. O.C.B.M. has used their new crane on construction projects. The AC 40 Optimax received by Boygues, has been working on the new Tangiers Port project. The variety of tasks demonstrates the broad applications that this new crane model was designed to accomplish.

About the new Terex® AC 40 Optimax all terrain crane

The new Terex AC 40 Optimax is designed for simplicity and cost-effective performance. As easy to maintain as it is to use by a single crane operator, the proven robust design of this highly versatile, 40-tonne capacity class, 2-axle all terrain crane combines high-lifting capacity and maneuverability. Offering a maximum lifting capacity of 35 tonnes at 3-meter radius, its synchronized telescopic boom – available with three or four sections (fourth section with chain - can be extended rapidly to provide a maximum reach of up to 23.4 meters (77 feet) and 30.4 meters (100 feet) respectively. Two, driven and steered axles with planetary hub reduction, and 4 x 4 control from both cabs ensure easy one man operation and high maneuverability. Powered by a 205 KW (279 HP) engine, the boom can be telescoped to its maximum length rapidly. An ergonomic operator cab equipped with Load Moment Indicator, digital LCD display and tinted windows provides excellent operational comfort and safety. Air-conditioning is optional.
