SEVEN MORE TEREX® REACH STACKERS DELIVERED TO SANTOS PORT,

THE LARGEST CONTAINER TERMINAL IN LATIN AMERICA

Zweibruecken, September 12th, 2011 – Terex Cranes has delivered seven Terex® TFC 46 M full “dry” and high-container reach stacker units via Equiport, a Terex Port Equipment Distributor, to Santos Port, Sao Paulo, Brazil. The units were ordered during the CeMat exhibition in Sao Paulo this June.

Santos Port currently accounts for the highest concentration of Terex reach stackers per square kilometre of any port in the world. All together there are 450 Terex reach stackers in operation throughout Latin America.

“Equiport is situated within 25 km of Santos Port. Our proximity and our customers’ confidence in the quality of Terex® port equipment have been the basis of the strong partnerships that we have developed over the years,” says Thierry Montagne, Managing Director, Equiport.

Serving Brazil’s n°1 port with quality products and responsive local service

In 1994, the first 16 Terex reach stackers were delivered to four of the port’s terminals. Since then, the number of units has steadily grown in-line with the port’s rapidly developing activity.

“The potential of Santos Port is really quite considerable. Terex has already demonstrated its ability to adapt to its Brazilian customers’ specific needs with products that work for them, and we are confident that this will continue to have a significant impact on the success of Terex port equipment with our customers in Santos Port in the future,” says Montagne.

About the Terex® TFC46M Reach Stacker

Designed to match today’s most challenging port terminal environments, the Terex® TFC 46M reach stacker offers 45-tonne - 1st row (50 US tons), 33-tonne – 2nd row (36 US tons) and 18-tonne – 3rd row (20 US tons) maximum lifting capacity for full, bulk and high-cube containers up to 6-high on the first row, and 6-high ISO containers on the second row, and is available in standard and dedicated multi-attachment versions.

About Santos Port

Ranked as the largest container port in Latin America after Panama, Santos Port is the focal center of Brazil’s import/export activity. Situated at less than 100 km from Sao Paulo City, Santos Port currently has 104 port operators, 32 logistic terminals including 16 “wet” shipping terminals. With a registered 100 million tonnes of goods (1,117,664 TEUs) handled over the last year (May 2011 figures), of which 21.2 billion US$ for imports and 22.6 billion US$ for exports, the port’s activity is up by +14.2% compared to 2010.

One of the great strengths of the Port of Santos is its broad reach. A modern highway and railway network linked to the Tietê - Paraná forms the largest system of road-rail transport and waterways in the country. By air, there are two options within a radius of 150 km, the international airports of Guarulhos International (Guarulhos) and Viracopos (Campinas). In addition, Santos is the only Brazilian port served by all major regular shipping lines, providing transport to anywhere in the world.
