TEREX CRANES TO EXHIBIT THREE ALL TERRAIN CRANE MODELS
AT MATEXPO, 7 – 11 SEPTEMBER, BELGIUM
Zweibruecken, September 1st, 2011 – Terex Cranes will exhibit three all terrain crane models at the 34th edition of Matexpo, to be held at Kortrijk Xpo, Kortrijk, Belgium, from 7th to 11th September.
The cranes on display will include the new 55-tonne capacity class Terex® Challenger 3160, in addition to the Terex® AC 40 City and Terex® AC 40/2L 40-tonne capacity models.
With more than 372,000 visitors in 2009, Matexpo is one of the largest construction tradeshows in Europe. Attended by professionals from all sectors of the construction industry, it is particularly popular among visitors from Belgium, France and Holland.

About the Terex® Challenger 3160 (product video also available)
Compact and powerful, the new Terex Challenger 3160 is the only 3-axle, 55-tonne capacity class machine currently available that is designed for one-man operation. Offering a maximum lifting capacity of 35.6-tonnes at 4-meter radius, and equipped with a 50-meter, single cylinder telescopic boom, the new Terex Challenger 3160 provides self-contained, one-man operation within 12-tonne axle-load limitations. In countries where axle load limits are 10-tonnes, the crane’s counterweight can be de-rigged to reduce weight to under 30 tonnes. About the Terex® AC 40 City
The most compact city crane in today’s 40-tonne capacity class, the AC 40 City offers a 7.34-meter carrier for a total length of only 8.57 meters. Equipped with a 31.2-meter main boom offering a total roadable system length of 44.2 meters, it can clear heights below 2.995 meters. Well-matched to a broad range of specialist tasks, the AC 40 City is available with a selection of versatile attachments to ensure universal applicability.
About the Terex® AC 40/2L
Featuring the longest main boom in its category with a reach of up to 37.4-meters, for a maximum system length of 45.4 meters, the Terex AC 40/2L is designed for optimum roadability and versatility. Combining the benefits of short telescoping times and high load telescoping capacity in all configurations, this highly mobile, 2-axle all terrain crane is capable of lifting up to 32-tonnes at 3-meter radius. Equipped with independent rear steering and an easy-to-operate counterweight unloading system - to make equal spread of the load across each axle easier - the AC 40/2L offers a spacious, comfortable upper cab, and air-conditioned, two-seat carrier cab for driving speeds of up to 80 km/h.
