A SUCCESSFUL WEEK FOR TEREX CRANES AT CONEXPO 2011, LAS VEGAS
Las Vegas, April 21th, 2011 – The presence of Terex Cranes at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2011 resulted in a combination of successful sales and numerous opportunities for the Cranes team to focus on its customers’ needs in North America and other markets.
The full Terex Cranes line-up at CONEXPO 2011 included the new Terex® Crossover 6000 boom truck, new Terex® BT 28106 boom truck, new Terex® Roadmaster 9000 truck crane, Terex® RT 100 rough terrain crane with special update, Terex® HC 165 hydraulic crawler crane, Terex® 350/6 all terrain crane and Terex® SK 415-20 tower crane.
All new product developments were well received with outstanding customer interest shown in the Roadmaster 9000 truck crane. Twenty Roadmaster 9000 cranes were purchased on a short delivery schedule in response to demands from North America, Canada and other countries.
Built with and for its North American customers, the new Terex® Roadmaster 9000 is capable of heavy lifts of up to 90 US tons (81t) and is equipped with a 164.5 ft (50 m) boom for a maximum system length of 242.8 ft (74 m), with the performance and productivity to help provide the highest uptime and best return on investment. Several customers have commented that they are convinced that this new model is well adapted to their market requirements.
Combining truck crane lift performance, commercial chassis affordability and hydraulically self-removable counterweight options up to 16,500 lbs (7.5 t), the new truck-mounted Terex® Crossover 6000 boom truck also met with strong interest from customers. It is designed to provide efficient, reliable service for long hours on the job site and a maximum lifting capacity of 60 US tons (54t).
A substantial proportion of other CONEXPO sales was attributed to the broad selection of Terex® all terrain and rough terrain models.
