TEREX CRANES STRENGTHENS ITS COMMITMENT TO PORT EQUIPMENT
IN BRAZIL AT CEMAT AND INTERMODAL
SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL, APRIL 8TH, 2011 – Terex Cranes has announced its presence at CeMAT, from 4th to 7th April, Centro de Exposições Imigrantes, Sao Paulo, and Intermodal, from 5th to 7th April at the Transamérica Exhibition Center, Sao Paulo, where it has exhibiting a selection of its port equipment products made available through Equiport, the company’s port equipment distributor in Brazil.
Terex Cranes presence at both tradeshows is a demonstration of the company’s strong commitment to further develop its business in the port equipment sector on the Brazilian market.
Products on show at CeMAT included the Terex® FDC 18K6, 9-high stacking capacity Empty Container Handler, Terex® S-125 Self-Propelled Aerial Work Platform equipped with telescopic boom offering a vertical reach of up to 40.12 meters, horizontal reach of 24.71 m, for a maximum lifting capacity of 227 kg. Also featured at the show, the Terex® GTH844 Telescopic Handler offering a maximum reach of 13.5 meters and 3.7-tonne maximum lifting capacity. Designed for optimum versatility, this machine comes with a wide range of boom attachments.
At Intermodal, Terex Cranes exhibited its latest port handling product developments, highlighted by a comprehensive range of Forklifts, Reach Stackers and Empty Container Handlers offering lifting capacities from 18 to 52 tonnes, and container stacking capacities of up to 6 and 9 high respectively.
As market leader, with a 50% share of Reach Stacker sales across the country, Terex Cranes is increasingly investing in its port equipment portfolio to provide customers in the port, rail and logistics sectors with a broader range of Port Equipment products than any other brand in the world.
The company’s Port Equipment offering comprises a comprehensive range of empty and full container Reach Stackers, Forklifts and Front Loaders, Mobile Harbor Cranes (MHC), Rubber-Tired Gantry Cranes (RTG), Rail Mounted Gantry Cranes (RMC), Straddle Carriers and Ship-to-Shore-Cranes (STS).
