Jinan, China, March 16th, 2011 – Ron DeFeo, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Terex Corporation (NYSE: TEX), has visited the manufacturing operations of the Company’s latest crane manufacturing joint venture in China for an event to celebrate its new partnership. In late 2010, Terex signed an agreement with the privately held Shandong Topower Heavy Equipment Company for the manufacturing of lattice boom crawler cranes.
“Our partnership with Topower represents a significant step forward for the Terex Cranes product portfolio and for our presence in the Chinese market,” says Mr. DeFeo. ”This event provides the opportunity to mark the promising start of our operations and to reinforce our goal of successfully combining the worldwide experience of Terex Cranes with the expertise established by Topower in the Chinese market.
