TEREX CRANES DELIVERS FIRST EMPTY CONTAINER HANDLERS

TO HIPERCON, SANTOS PORT, BRAZIL

Zweibrücken, Germany, February 15, 2011 – Terex Cranes announces the delivery of its first two Terex® FDC 18K6 Empty Container Handler units to Hipercon Terminais de Carga Ltda, Santos Port, Brazil.

As one of the leading logistics companies operating in one of the largest and most complex ports in the country, Hipercon took delivery of its two FDC 18K6 Empty Container Handlers by Terex Cranes dealer Equiport on November 8th.

Since the beginning of its partnership with Terex Cranes in Brazil 16 years ago, Equiport has gained strong experience in the port equipment sector, offering dedicated customer service provided by highly trained after-sales teams and a stock of 2000 original spare parts. Equiport recently complemented its Port Equipment portfolio with Terex® Empty Container Handlers and Forklifts.

With several hundred units in operation worldwide, the FDC 18K6 is considered as one of the most reliable and trusted 6-high container handlers currently available. Equipped with a 200 HP engine, hydrodynamic transmission and hydraulic side spreader for 20 and 40-foot containers, the FDC 18K6 is one the most popular, time proven models in its category. “We chose this model for offering the right combination of reliability, compact size, high speed operation and low maintenance costs”, said Mr. Renato Nunes dos Reis, General Manager, Hipercon.
