TEREX CRANES DEALERS DISPlAY CRANE HIGHLIGHTS AT SAIE 2009

Zweibrücken, 23 October 2009 – Terex Cranes will be represented at SAIE 2009 through its three Italian dealers Co.ma.co, Tecnogru and GTS + CGT. They will display a total of eight cranes from the comprehensive Terex Cranes product range, including the new Terex® RT 100 Rough Terrain Crane, Terex® Truck Loader Cranes and a Terex® All Terrain Crane. The booth can be found in AREA 48 – STAND B11-B25-C10.

Terex® Rough Terrain Cranes

The prototype of the brand-new RT 100 rough terrain crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 90 metric tonnes (99.2 US tons) will be revealed to the public for the first time at SAIE 2009. The RT 100 is the newest addition to the Terex Cranes rough terrain crane portfolio and offers outstanding lifting capacity across all load ranges. The 6-section boom can be extended up to a maximum length of 53.1 meters, with a maximum tip height of 55.8 meters. Two synchronized telescoping modes are available. The crane’s powerful engine features 194 kW @ 2200 rpm and full compliance with European directive 2006/24 Step 3b. Power steering can be easily switched to two or four wheels from the cab.

Also on display at SAIE 2009 will be the Terex® RT 35 Rough Terrain Crane. It has a maximum lifting capacity of 34 metric tonnes (37.5 US tons). When fully extended the boom has an overall length of 30.1 m, and a boom head height of 32.8 m. Its 4-cylinder engine achieves a maximum output of 104 kW at 2000 rpm and a maximum torque of 620 Nm at 1500 rpm.

Terex® Truck Loader Cranes

The comprehensive range of Terex® truck loader cranes is now available in Italy through a growing dealer network that stands ready to provide customers with superior service and support. On site at the SAIE booth is the Terex® show truck for truck loader cranes - equipped with several models from the Terex® truck loader crane range, including two new models, TLC 116.3 and TLC 380.3.

Terex® TLC 116.3

The Terex® TLC 116.3 is built to meet the needs of demanding end users. This truck loader crane features five hydraulic extensions and a reach of approximately 14.4 m. The slim, lightweight design maximizes use of the remaining truck payload capacity and can feature a swing-up stabilizer (optional) with the ability to rotate 180 degrees. Hydraulic hoses are routed inside the second boom to save space and for protection. Additional features include a mounted oil cooler and oil tank (optional). Built for versatility, the TLC 116.3 was designed to work with a number of attachments, including a grapple, winch or hook.

Terex® TLC 380.3

With a stabilizer width of 7.4 m and a continuous slewing area, the Terex® TLC 380.3 is built to work in the toughest conditions. Eight hydraulic extensions allow for a maximum reach of 21 m and the lightweight design offers great truck payload capacity. This heavy-duty crane was developed to work with a variety of accessories, including a winch, fly jib, pallet fork and brick stack grab. Special features include a load sensing drive, for energy efficient operation, and remote control system (standard).

Terex® AC 700 All Terrain Crane

With a lifting capacity of 700 metric tons, the Terex® AC 700 is one of the most powerful telescopic cranes that is roadable together with its full 60-meter (196ft) main boom within an axle load of 12 metric tons.

An enormous increase in lifting capacity, especially when working with steep boom positions, is achieved with the patented Sideways Superlift (SSL) system. Thanks to the crane’s star-type outriggers, system deformation is minimized and exceptional lifting capacities are achieved with a support base measuring 12.2 x 12.4 meters. The crane combines large lifting capacities with a compact undercarriage length of only 18.60 meters.

A state-of-the-art Daimler engine and a fully-automatic Allison transmission provide the crane with outstanding power, while four drive axles (3+4 and 8+9) feature differential locks. The crane’s unmatched maneuverability makes it versatile at the construction site: eight of its axles are steerable (one to five and seven to nine). An automatic leveling mechanism rounds out the impressive capabilities of this crane on the job site

The crane can be configured with a luffing fly jib measuring 24 to 96 meters. With only a few steps, the luffing fly jib can be rearranged into a rigid fly jib with a length of 20 to 50 meters or as a light system with a length of 6 to 36 meters.
